Florian Oelmaier is a proxy-holder. He is an expert in current attack vectors on computer applications and networks, IT security concepts for software projects as well as the current security challenges in cloud computing and mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones. After graduating with a Masters in Computer Sciences, he was involved in developing security technology at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits and later joined a major international bank in Germany as an IT security specialist. He then crossed industry lines and became a security consultant, advising a variety of renowned corporate clients. In this capacity he designed the security architecture of multiple large software projects and oversaw numerous security source code reviews and penetration tests. Besides supporting his clients with preventive measures, Florian Oelmaier has played a major role in detecting and investigating cases of computer crime, industrial espionage, white-collar crime and other felonies. In recent years he has also taken over the crisis management for imperiled major software projects. He has published numerous articles in professional journals, a book on deploying Apple’s iPad in enterprises and gives speeches at conferences and events.
