Stephan Gerling is a German security researcher working in Kaspersky Lab’s Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team (ICS CERT) where he is responsible for conducting vulnerability research, giving lecture and talks at conferences, conducting incidence response and delivering live and online ICS cybersecurity training programs.
Today Stephan is particularly interested in security for renewable Energy, electrical Vehicle charging station infrastructure, Maritime systems (navigation and control systems) and “smart motor homes”. He enjoys conduction penetration testing of ‘Internet of Things’ devices ranging from electronic door locks to industrial control systems. He has previous experience as a security evangelist in Oil and Gas Industries, Helicopter Navigation System Specialist and 36 Years volunteer firefighter as Platoon leader.
Stephan is certified as CISSP, GCFA, MCSE + security and several other certificates.
