6700 & 7500 lb Hot Farm Tractor Rules
- Drawbar hook point is to be a min. of 18 inches behind the center of the rear axle and a max. of 20 inches high. Drawbar is to be rigid in all directions. Hitching eye is to be a min. of 3 inches in dia. inside, 5 inches outside and a min. of ¾” thick.
- Area 6 inches wide and 12 inches immediately above the drawbar must be free of all obstructions
- S.F.I. approved clutch, flywheel and pressure plate are required
- Safety tie bars mounted to the rear axle housing with at least 3 axle housing bolts and extending forward to flywheel area and fastened to the side of the block or main frame with at least two 5/8 bolts; or a one piece frame extending from the front of the tractor to rear axle housing mounting bolts . Tie bars or frame must be sufficient to support the weight of the tractor with the bolts used to split the tractor removed
- Flywheel guards must be used. A 20 ply ballistic nylon or 20 ply Kevlar blanket, 17 inches wide and long enough to wrap around the bellhousing with at least 6 inches of overlap with six 2 inch web straps with steel D rings sewn the length of the blanket and secured front and rear with straps
- The chassis shall consist of the following, A: The stock engine block or its replacement as listed by the manuf. for that make. (The block cannot be modified externally in any way except for normal repairs). B: The stock transmission housing or manuf. replacement C: The stock final drive housing or manuf. replacement. No alum. replacements of engine parts, clutch housing, transmission case, rear end housing, or rear axle housing
- Tractor wheelbase will be a max. of 114 inches from the center of the rear axle to the center of the front axle.
- All tractors must have a wide front end.
- Tractor length of 13 feet max. from center of rear wheels to the farthest point forward including weights
- Tire size limit is 24.5x32. No chains, duals or 4 wheel drives allowed Double cut tires are allowed with biased type tires only Cut and ½ are allowed on biased or radial tires
- Side shields are mandatory and should be .060 thick of steel or alum. and securely fastened to the tractor. It is recommended that a quick release fastener be used ( wing nut or hitch pin in case of emergency). Shields should cover from the top of the frame to the bottom of the hood and be as long as the engine.
- All tractors must have fenders or a shield between the driver and rear tires to act as a solid barrier. It must be able to hold the weight of the driver
- Tractor must have a strong and rigid seat with seat belts anchored to something other than the seat itself
- Stabilizer bars (wheelie bars) are required. The drawbar assembly must in no way, be attached to the stabilizer bars. Stabilizer bars will extend a min. of 32 inches behind the center of the rear axle. The pad must not be more than 10 inches of the ground and a min of 8 inches square. A min. of 20 inches should be between the pads from outside to outside. Bars must be able to support the weight of the tractor when jacked
- A 2.5 lb fire extinguisher, preferably Halon, must be accessible to the operator
- Helemt and full length pants are required
- A roll cage or ROPS system are required
- Cylinder head must be designed for the block required for the tractor. No alum. Heads
- Cubic inch limit for 6700 lb class is 360, 7500 lb class is 414. Classes are limited to one turbo with 3 inch max dia. on intake side. No slots or enhancement ring, these must be welded permanently for competition.
- Tractors must have 200 lbs of moveable suitcase weights
- “A” pump or any smaller pump allowed. No French pumps
- Must use stock fuel for make and model of tractor. Ether, oxygen, alcohol, nitrous oxide, or nitro methane are all illegal fuels for primary or secondary use.
- Water injection systems shall use water or a mix of water and lubricant only.
- No pressurized tanks except for propane when used as a primary fuel.
- Turbochargers only, no other type of forced induction allowed.
- No air bleeds or secondary air allowed on intake (compressor housing)
- Turbochargers must be under the hood or shrouded end to end and 360 degrees around with .060 thick steel or heavier. Turbo must be shrouded if under a fiberglass hood.
- Exhaust pipes must have two, 3/8 inch, grade 5 bolts within one inch and 90 degrees of each other in the vertical part of the exhaust pipe
- Tractors must have an automatic ignition kill switch and air shutoff in working order at all times. On a spark ignition engine the switch must break or ground the ignition and shut off electric fuel pumps. On diesel engines the air shutoff must have a spring loaded mechanism deemed acceptable to prevent building boost and a mechanical fuel shutoff controlled from the seat in the fuel line before the injection pump
- The kill switch hook up will be located at the rear of the tractor a max. of 6 inches off center and approx. 48 inches above the hook point. A 2 inch ring should be used to hook the sled cable into.
- All tractors must have a dead man throttle which returns to idle position when released
- Tractors must have a bulkhead shield between the driver and the engine from the top of the hood to the top of the torque tube, transmission housing, or clutch housing and as wide as the side shields in case of a flash fire
- Tractors must have an electric cooling fan. Stock steel fans driven by a belt are not allowed
- A .060 thick shield must run between the frame rails and under the harmonic balancer to prevent the loss of the balancer from the tractor
